What Other People Say About Us

My wife and I began after watching our children from the observation area for a couple months. We watched the progression from Moo-goop to white belt and quickly to yellow belt. We decided rather than observing from the seats, that we had a unique experience to participate with our children in an organized sport.

Well, all my life I've had trouble telling my right from my left due to my dyslexia and being ambidextrous but in my last 8 months sense I started taking Tae Kwon Do I've not only learned discipline, self defense, and how to physically better myself, and also have confidence in myself, but most of all learned very fast how to tell my left from my right. I'm glad that not only am I proud to call all of you guys at Gentry my friends but most of all my family.

I will use all the training I have received from Master Sieg and the entire staff to help me succeed in all my future endeavors because Taekwondo has, more than anything, given me the will to succeed.

I first came here when I was about 9, looking to do martial arts because I thought it looked cool. But once I began progressing through the ranks, I realized that martial arts is so much more than that. And now as a black- belt- to-be, I can say that the martial arts and the Gentry atmosphere have completely changed my life for the good.

We came to Gentry to help our son with making better choices, and our entire family ended up joining! The staff here really cares about their students. Our family is learning together and having a great time doing it at Gentry Martial Arts.

As a child with A.D.H.D. and who still has some hyperactive tendencies, focusing on any one thing for extended periods of time has always been a challenge. However, thanks to the training and discipline received in the martial arts I have found a means to naturally better control these tendencies to a greater extent. This has helped tremendously boost my concentration in other aspects of my life as well…I would definitely be nowhere near the patient and collected individual I am now without these lessons disciplining my focus and concentration as provided by the martial arts.

One of the most important lessons TKD teaches us is to have indomitable spirit, meaning a spirit that cannot be destroyed or broken. Creating an indomitable spirit is hard to do and I cannot think of any other program or schools besides martial arts that purposefully sets out to create this quality in a person.

It (martial arts) has taught me all about staying in shape and getting stronger. It has made me strong physically and mentally.
