Welcome to 2001!! GMA has experienced many positive changes in the past year - this year will be no different! In the past year we have:
A change for 2001 that you will see is the addition of a new office assistant. Zack Boardman will be helping with some of the administrative aspects of the martial arts program at Dance Discovery. Feel free to ask him any question you would ask either of the instructors, Terry, or Jamie.
Reminder. As you (or your child) receive report cards, be sure to bring them by the school for your instructor to review. We all feel the martial arts are important, but for those of us still in school, your number one job is to be a good student!
Referral fees. Did you know that when you refer someone to the Martinsville school you get a referral fee equal to of your monthly tuition? It's true!! Just ask Terry, Jamie, or Zack for details.
Up coming events
01/13/01 Women's self defense seminar. This seminar will be presented at Fitness by Design in Indianapolis. Seminar fee is $50 for first time participants and $10 for participants who have attended a GMA Women's self defense seminar in the past.
01/21/01 TTCA testing. Testing will occur in Jasper Indiana. This testing is for all colored belt levels. Since a number of students will be testing, this will be a good opportunity for car pooling. The instructors will let the students know who is eligible for testing this month. Detailed driving directions will be provided to students who are testing. Keep in mind that the TTCA generally conducts a belt test every month so if you (or your child) isn't ready this time, opportunities to test will be available in upcoming months.
02/10/01 Jason Winkle Seminar. Jason Winkle (USHF 4th degree) will be holding a seminar in Bloomington at the Harmony School. This seminar will feature concepts drawn from Silat, Jeet Kune Do, and Hapkido. This seminar will compliment material taught in our Hapkido class. Seminar runs from 3:00 to 6:00pm. Cost is $30. If you are interested in this seminar, ask your instructor.
