Picture Day and Demos 6-23-01 (pictures) and 6-30-01 (recital)
Dont forget about Dance Discoverys picture day on June 23 at Cunningham Studios. See Terri about the prices for various photo packages. The pictures are of excellent quality, will be taken in uniform, and would make great gifts to friends and family interested in your martial arts experience! Also, Dance Discovery will host its spring recital at 1 PM on June 30, Martinsville High School, where we will be performing a demonstration of our skills. We will also perform a demonstration at this years Summerfest on the Square. This is a great opportunity to represent yourself and your skills to the community, and hopefully excite them about the martial arts in the same way we are.

Mr. Mundy Phases Out of Martinsville Effective at the end of this May, Mr. Brent Mundy will no longer be teaching in Martinsville in order to devote his efforts more fully to opening a branch of Gentry Martial Arts in Indianapolis. We wish Mr. Mundy the best of luck in this pursuit and hope you will take the time to thank him for his long and dedicated service personally. Mr. Sieg will become the primary instructor at the Dance Discovery location.

WANTED: PHOTOS. Help Needed! We are trying to create a major addition to the GMA webpagean archive and photogallery of all GMA events: tournaments, testings, summer camps, parties, etc. We would like it to be a place where everyone can share and swap their best photos on the web. We need your help with this huge undertaking, which Ms. Charlton will be organizing. While we need to be selective, we would appreciate everyone bringing in any martial arts photos they think might be useful. We promise to return them promptly.

Partnership with TNT Knives It is our pleasure to announce our promotion partnership with TNT Knives, also located on the Martinsville Square. If you are interested in purchasing any products from TNT, you will receive a 10% discount on your purchase by presenting your TTCA card, a promotion certificate, or other proof of enrollment in Gentry Martial Arts. But please note that this is for recreational purposes. We do not recommend walking around with swords and such, and it doesnt mean that if you buy a weapon there that we will teach you how to use it.

Bully Article Reminder Mr. Sieg has selected an article on the rise of school-age bullying in the United States and its effects on children for Martinsville parents to read. Copies are available at the front counter or from Tracy. We encourage you to pick up this important read, and to keep informed about your childrens lives in and out of the classroom. Of course, we feel that martial arts training helps instill the confidence needed to avoid becoming a victim.
