August 2000 Newsletter

Due to your current or previous relationship with Gentry Martial Arts programs and/or instructors, we have taken the liberty of putting you on our web announcement list. Even if you are no longer active in our martial arts program but are interested in continuing your martial arts education, we want the website to be a continued resource for you. The recommended reading and media reviews is a way of offering our guidance in your personal study, regardless of where you are. We hope that you use the page to stay in touch and keep abreast of GMA's activities, and we encourage you to use the site (and any other means) to contact us with any questions or concerns you might have not only about our activities but also martial arts in your area or in general.

If you have not recently looked at the page (www.gentrymartialarts.com), we have restructured it significantly to accommodate our growth, while also trying to jazz it up a little on almost every page. Current students may also find the new GMA FAQ section enlightening--of particular interest to those aspiring to higher ranks is a lengthy discussion on the recommended outline of your black belt report. Additionally, we are in the process of adding a photo-gallery, a chance for students to share pictures and memories with each other without having to pass duplicates and trade negatives. This must be a team effort, however, so if you have any interesting photos of tournaments, seminars, testing, and other shenanigans concerning GMA events and students, please send them via attachment or give them to an instructor the next time you see one. You will of course get all pictures back. Also please keep in mind we will have to be somewhat selective with our content.

Note that we will not clutter your inbox with general student announcements; we have a separate list for that. This list is for notification of any changes and announcements concerning the web page only. Enjoy and take advantage of genterymartialarts.com!
